Rating one Grape at a Time

Rate the Grapes is the name of a wine club started by a small and eclectic group of wine drinkers in beautiful Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  North Carolina is home to the relatively young yet fast growing Yadkin Valley wine region.  Read our article on Yadkin Valley Vineyards for more on this exciting grape growing area.

What is Rate the Grapes all about?

Rate the Grapes is more than a wine club.  We started this website as a means to collect and gather all our wine tasting results, as well as wine reviews, frequently asked questions ("how to's"), and as a way to reach out to wine fans everywhere and provide a place to share stories and experiences surrounding that delicious little fruit that has spawned centuries of history and culture.

We started the wine club with the plan to explore different regions and varietals every month. Each person would bring a different bottle, costing $20 or less to allow for a variety on tastings at reasonable prices.
