How sexy is your wine?

This month we tasted "Sexy" Red Wines. The definition of a sexy wine was left up to personal interpretation.

It was an unpredictable tasting experience and nothing really took the cake as a wine to love or hate. So, while not a great night, it was a good night of wines. Plus, sitting outside on a nice spring evening is always nice!

Ranked in order of what you liked most (best to worst)!

1. A - Tuscan Moon, Sangiovese, 2006, $8 at Trader Joe's [sexy because Tuscany and moons are both romantic/sexy]
2. E - DaVinci, Chianti, 2005, $13 at Whole Foods (3 way tie with E, B and C) [sexy because it was from Italy and had a sexy lady on the label]
3. B - Georges Duboeuf, Beaujolais-Villages, 2006, $11 at Whole Foods (3 way tie with E, B and C) [sexy because it had flowers on it and is French]
4. C - La Boca, Argentinian Merlot, 2007, $4 at Trader Joe's (3 way tie with E, B and C) [sexy because La Boca means the mouth in Spanish]
5. DO NOT BUY: D - Velvet Moon, Cabernet Sauvignon, 2006, $8 at Trader Joe's [sexy because velvet and moons are sexy] - but we also learned sexy wines do not always taste sexy!

Next Wine Tasting Event: June 23rd at Stacie's? (the rotation of households is shrinking quickly...) We will drink Riesling in attempt to find white wines that our club members can actually enjoy! Plus it's summer... time for some crisp white wine.
