Grenache Tasting - February 2008
This month we tasted Grenache and Grenache blends. It was a tasty night with lots of good wines at great prices! Love a good value wine night!

- E - Peace, 2005, 17% grenache, $10 at Fresh Market (BEST VALUE!)
- F - Rosemount Shiraz-Grenache, 2005, 45% grenache, $10 at Total Wine (BEST VALUE!)
- B - Las Rocas, 2005, 100% grenache, $13 at City Beverage
- D - Shark Trust, 2004, 45% grenache, $13 at Whole Foods (10% of proceeds donated to shark preservation)
- TIE - A - Tres Picos, 2006, 100% grenache, $16 ; C - Vacqueyras, 2005 (Cuvee from Cotes du Rhone), $16
The Best wine for the price was Rosemount Shiraz-Grenache, 2005, and Peace, 2005 BY FAR at $10, available at Total Wine and Fresh Market, respectively. Check it out - you will not be disappointed!

my favorite grenaches
E was by far my favorite, followed closely by F and D.
At half the price of E, I will be buying a lot more of F - Rosemount Shiraz-Grenache!
