Where does the color of wine come from?

When a grape is squeezed, regardless of whether the grape is red or white, clear juice is produced.  So where does a wine get its color?  From the skin of the grapes.  A wine's color comes from the grapes' skin.  To make a white wine, the grape skin is simply left out.  One way to search articles on Rate the Grapes is by wine color.  For example, to find all the reds reviewed on this site, simply select the red category below.
