Chilean Carmenere Red Wine

Carmenère wine was thought to be extinct for years after phloxerra destroyed the grapes throughout Europe. It was recently found in Chile where their geographic isolation allowed it to flourish. It is often confused with Merlot due its similar taste characteristics and appearance.

Here are the results from this past week's wine club featuring Chilean. It was a very excellent night for wine tasting... not a bad one in the bunch!
