Everyone enjoyed a vegetarian feast at Michelle & Alex's house this time around and there was not a dump cup to be found for these delectable red wines. And after the wine was tasted and revealed in all it's glory, the night deteriorated or escalated, depending on who you ask, to the basement for ping pong and more fun times with friends.
And, here are the tasting results for our Red Zinfandels from California:
There really were not any losers tonight as all were just about finished and the fact that there was no dump cup pretty much speaks for itself! The Malbec was meant for drinking pre or post tasting but somehow it ended up in a bag and opened for tasting as well! So, not surprising that it did not do great against the heart Zins but it held its own given it was an entirely different grape and it reminded us that we need to do a Malbec tasting again soon.
Next month, we will skip the home tasting for a night out to the new Wine Merchant's Gourmet location on Stratford Rd. Stay tuned for more details and if you are interested in hosting in April 2011, let us know.
Until then, cheers and be sure to share your individual tasting results here on the website under wine reviews to keep track of all the wines you would love to have again and even those you never want to even think about again!
